For our most up-to-date guide for connecting to your ATI Straton, please head to our How to Connect to an ATI Straton resource center article.
Unlike previous ATI fixtures, you can connect the ATI Straton to WiFi home or local networks. Once connected, the control panel can be accessed wirelessly from the network with a computer, cell phone, or other wireless devices, making programming and adjustments easy. To get started, you will need to connect directly to the built-in WiFi on the Straton.
Connecting Directly to Your Straton’s WiFi Signal
Step 1 – Power Up:
Plug your Straton light into power and wait a couple of minutes for the fixture to boot up completely.
On the Ethernet port, located on the black box between the silver power supply and the light fixture, the green light closest to the power cord should be solid green. The 2nd green light on the Ethernet port should be off.
Step 2 – Connect to Straton WiFi:
On your preferred wireless device (cell phone, laptop, tablet), go to your wireless network settings and search for available Wi-Fi networks.
You should see a wireless network labeled “ATI_Straton_” followed by a string of digits. For example, “ATI_Straton_68413672165”. No password is required to connect.
After connecting, the 2nd green light on the Ethernet port should begin to blink.
Step 3 – Login to Straton:
Open your preferred internet browser and type 192.168.100.1 into the address bar to access the fixtures log-in screen.
The default username and password are admin and admin.
When connected directly to the WiFi on the Straton, you will not have access to the internet or home network from your device. As such, we recommend connecting your light to your home Wi-Fi network. Here’s how to do that.
Adding Your Straton to Your Home Network
Before beginning this process, please connect directly to your Straton fixtures WiFi signal using the procedure above.
Step 1 – Rename Fixture:
Open the drop-down menu in the upper right of the screen and then click on the three gear icon with the word “Settings”.
Scroll down to Wi-Fi settings and locate the “Name” section. Your light’s default name will be the same as the network name you connected to earlier, for example, “ATI_Straton_68413672165”.
Rename the light something familiar and easy to remember like “MyStraton1” and click apply.
Step 2 – Update Wi-Fi Settings:
Click the “WiFi” button above the name, and change the mode from “Access Point” to “Client.”
Under the drop-down for “Available Networks” select your network, add your credentials/password, and hit apply.
Close your web browser. Please be patient as it may take a few minutes for these new settings to be active.
Step 3 – Confirm / Re-connect to Home Network:
While the fixture is re-starting, confirm your device is connected back to your wireless network. If needed, reconnect to your wireless network.
Step 4 – Connect to the Straton:
Open a new web browser and type in “http://” followed by your light’s name. For example, http://MyStraton1.
Log in again with admin/admin.
If you encounter any problems in this process, there is a tiny pin-sized hole reset button on the black box attached to the power cable. Press and hold the button for 5 seconds and attempt the process again.
